Quality systems
The Slaughtering and Processing Plant of Pollo de las Sierras is authorized by the National Service of Agricultural Sanity (SENASA), the Argentinian official organization in charge of supervising the observance of the sanitary rules of the country.
The slaughterhouse has 10.000 square metres under cover. It includes a sector for the physical and chemical treatment of effluents in order to take care of the environment and eliminate the risk of contamination.
Assuming its commitment with quality and safety of its products and processes, Pollo de las Sierras has implemented voluntary programmes for Preventive Control, audited by official institutions, in which all the staff in the plant are involved.
The processes comply with HACCP, SSOPs and GMP rules and regulations, offering special guarantee relied on the information and continuous observance of the whole lifetime and processing of the bird, what is technically known as traceability and what has become a firm demand from the main buyer countries.
Besides and apart from the controls by the national authorities, the company has its own Quality Laboratory. This allows it to select the raw materials, supervising the processes from the bacteriological point of view and to assure the healthiness of the final products.
